BTW, the obverse legend (monument side) reads "Sr. Isaac Brock the Hero of Upper Canada"; reverse legend reads "Success to Commerce & Peace to the World"

Kuhli is correct. It is known as a Brock token. Catalogued by Charlton as UC-6and Breton as #724. There are 7 varieties based on the position of the cheribs heads and shape of the bottom of the urn and the shape of the 1s in the date. Yours looks like UC-6A2: heads under the TH and R, flat bottom on urn, and falt top ones. Value is less than the C$6 in VG.
