WHAT IS A BRITISH CROWN?

Hi everyone-I bought a 1887 Great Britain Crown graded au55 by PCGS--just for fun I thought I would list it in a registry set but there is not set for Crown- it is called something else?--do they not have a registry set for this beautiful work of art?--let me know . thanks Don/mademan

and since 20 shillings equalled a pound, that's 4 crowns to the pound. Krause's world catalog notes that crowns were sometimes also called 'dollars' -- perhaps in reference to the early 20th century exchange rate of four US dollars to a UK pound?

I asked David about 6 months when he was going to add more British sets. He said it will happen eventually but there are other sets that need to be added. Translation=the Dark-side is not anywhere near the top of the list. Little does he know that there is enough interest in Dark-side to make it profitable for PCGS.
I am hoping now that Ron Guth is onboard, we will be treated as serious and knowledgeable collectors.
