Damn, I really wanted this one!!!

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    Did you think that you had it in the bag? I notice you bid quite a few times. If MS60 books at $1000, I would guess that AU58 would be worth at least $800 or so. Your max puts you at just a hair over half catalog. Would have been a bargain at that price...

    Is this one a fairly tough key?

    Don't feel too badly. I lost the bid on a wonderful rariety in US coins. A original, Chain Cent, in AG condition on a foreign online auction. It went for US $371. The coin was listed as "USA Cent???"

    My computer froze during the last few minutes of the auction as I was raising my bids. By the time I rebooted and signed back in, just as I entered my next bid, the auction finished. :-(

    I think the known population out of the original mintage, is estimated at 150 pieces, but I may be mistaking.

    It's very tough in AU or better and not cleaned! Oh well next time!
