Has anyone noticed a substantial decline in interest and in prices for PSA-7's and 8's? It seems as bad as I can remember in quite some time . . . Why?

See 59/60 as pretty much dividing line in baseball--after that cards in plentiful supply, be prepared to lose money; before that cards more scarce--probably excellent investment.

I agree. Most 60's sets are very plentiful in 7 and above and even 8 and higher. I have said it over and over I sold my 60's cards at the right time and have been buying them back for sometimes a quarter of the price. I got very high prices for my 68's when I broke the set because people were fighting over the 9's and 10's I had. I just bought 4 10's back for under 500 that I sold for 1700 dollars two years ago. The 60's cards are in high supply. There are a few that are truely low pops. But some of those low pop giants have fell over time as pops have increased. This will continue to happen over time with most with a few that will remail tough. Unless there is a influx in collectoers it seems the pops are out distancing the buyers and slowing winning the race. Thats a good thing for collecters and a bad thing for the sellers.

Luckily for me I got mine during an ebb for 20.00 or so.

I was answering the posts above mine in which reference to all 60's sets was mentioned.

Especially 1961 - that was the year of the Maris and Mantle homerun race of course when Maris hit 61, and for sure a ton of cards were printed. There is a lot of high grade raw still out there of 1961 Topps.
