His first card is the 1948 Bowman issue.

He also has a Leaf issue that is sometimes listed as 1948 - but is more likely an early 1949 issue.

Musial also has two postcards from the 1947-66 Exhibits series, one batting and one kneeling, but it is unlikely that either of those was issued before his Bowman card.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • thanks for your response. ive accounted for those cards. do you know of any outside of these? He started his career in 1941...so, ive been trying to find some sort of issue earlier than 1948.

I've collected Musial for nearly 20 years and unless I'm forgetting something that 1947 Bond Bread card is the earliest card I know about. However, yes, his Bowman and Leaf rookies were his first mainstream cards.
