who is the real expert in the Washington Quarters?

There are many experts but who really knows the grading, and this series the best/? Who is the one who has helped you the most? Who has really added to the knowedge of this series and who would you turn to for the best advice? Lastly who would you buy from above everyone else?????

Bob Zurick (Zaps) is THE MAN when it comes to varieties in this series. I have been working on my Wash quarter variety collection for many years now and plan to register the collection perhaps later this year. And, while I am learning more and more about Wash quarter varieties every day, I only hope to eventually know but a fraction of what Bob has learned in his decades of study on this series.

I don't think MANOFCOINS does the varities, or the newer stuff. But I for one give him credit for having the eye on the Silver's.
    Just check out his set.

I agree Bob is "the man." I had a chance to talk with him at length in Baltimore a few years back. Learned more in that time
    that you can imagine.

He also had some really incredible quarters with him. Nice PCGS MS 67's from the 1930's. A 68 too if I remember correctly.
  • I talked with Bob just once at the Long Beach Show a couple of years back he was real nice to me and tried to help me fine what I was loking for. He took his time and I was very polite to me a nobody, I came away having the upmost respect for him!!
  • Bob Zurick IS the Washington varities man followed by a not so famous Rick Raaf which is employed by Scottsman rare coins.
I don't think there is a question that can be asked of either person in the series that they don't know the answer too.
It's my pleasure to be able to call both of them my friend and would buy from either of them.

Manofcoins is one of my favorite sellers, hopefully Bob Z. can get back into it again fulltime. image

Bobzaps! I was fortunate to man his table for a few shows, and learned so much from him in grading Washington quarters. He is also perhaps the most honest coin dealer I have ever known, and is just a straight-out nice guy. Hope to see him back on the floor soon.
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

Bob Z is the guy! Honest, ethical, knowledgable and the expert in the series. He helped my put together my Washington set a few years ago and it eventually was the #1 all-time set with varieties.

I'll add to the accolades for Bob.

How is he doing? I'm glad to hear that he plans to get back to shows.
