Looking for a book- Silver Coins of France or something close to that

Can anyone give me the correct title. I wrote the info down for a customer and misplaced the note. If I see the Author's name I'd remember it. Book was printed @1974.

Thanks to any and all help!

  • That is a great site, and will cost me money. There are some great, rare books listed there.

    Thanks,

There may well be scarce/rare books at reasonable prices on this site...I don't know, but I hope folks are familiar with the books and their values before making a purchase.

I am unfamiliar with most of the books on this site, but I just had an interesting experience. I saw a book on Napoleonic medals for €60 + €30 shipping (to the USA). I collect some of these medals & didn't know the book, so I was somewhat interested. Well, I just found the same book at Amazon.de (German site) for €34 delivered! Be careful. - Preussen

  • Usually a site such as this one is a great place to find out about specialized books for unusual subjects. Once something is identified that may be of interest, I usually try www.bookfinder.com as well as Amazon and e-bay.

I have found books selling on e-bay, that can be purchased from other sources for half their price starting price.

It pays to keep your eyes and mind open.

I looked through the site for a book that may reference a medal of Louis XII I am looking for. I've heard it was struck in gold to commemorate one of his battles with the Pope. Alas-- no luck. image

I'd appreciate any help I can get on this.
