First off, welcome! As for the Shaq 5, you may have missed a slight surface wrinkle.

  • Couple nice scores for your first submission, congrats.

A burning question a few of us would be interested in knowing is how did you get your turnaround so fast???? 2 days to post grades while many many of us have been waiting on Dec submissions makes us jealous! I guess you could have laid out $25/35 per card but the lack of ultra high dollar items leads me to believe you just were incredibly fortunate to get your results so quickly.

The Jealous masses want to know!!!!!image
  • I submitted them under the $5 special that they've since removed. So, I'd have to say I got really lucky to get grades back so quickly.
I think I'll be sending in another batch soon, I am excited about the 10s I got. A 9OC means would have been a 10 with perfect centering right?

Possibly - or it might have just been a straight 9 NQ with perfect centering.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Good Job. My favorite thing from the meesage boards is when we share grades and scans.

    Still waiting for November myself

    Received 11/28/05.
  • Wow I must have been super lucky. How could you guys be waiting over a month and I got grades in 2 days? Maybe they knew I was a PSA virgin and this was my 'first time' so they were being nice. image I was off on 14/25 cards, 11 8s that I thought would be 9s, 2 10s I thought would be 8s and one 7 I thought would be a 9. When I get the cards back I'll upload some scans. This is probably where I'll be waiting the longest. This is going to be addictive. I have another few thousand cards I need to get graded. Wifey is going to make me get a 2nd job.

  • Yeppers, first time. I went through the cards many many many times to try and pick ones that I thought had chances at high grades. Can't decide what to send in next, I am thinking some more '76 commons because of the set registry special (these all came out of a vending box I bought about 5 years ago). I've got 25 more picked out that all have a good shot at 10. 6 of them would be the first 10s for that card. Then I think I'll look for cards with low pops and few 9s/10s. Sound like a plan? image This is so much fun. It is a shame I have nobody around home that shares my interest.
