How many have full bands? If you think they will only grade 67 NB hold on to them for awhile, not alot of takers right now!!!!

Because pcgs does not grade them at 68..
What do I need a 200 x microscope to grade them?

If a coin is worthy of the MS68 grade, it will be graded so by PCGS. Also, just for your information, there IS a 1955-S MS68 graded by PCGS.

I seriously doubt that your coins are MS67. But Ill tell you what, if you think they are MS67, send them to PCGS. If 2 or more come back MS67, Ill publicly apologize to you. If they dont, then you have learned a lesson about grading.

I'll do one better........A 67 will upgrade my 66, so if you can get a 67 I'll buy it at graysheet bid, that should offset some of your grading costs.

If they come in at 66 or lower, good luck making up the grading cost.........feel lucky? Well, do ya?

    Augie:

1955 is one of my Registry mint sets.
You mentioned graysheet for a 55-s in 67. What's it listed at?

Yes, if PCGS grades the coin(s), MS67 you will be able to sell them for more than your slabbibg cost. Assuming your raw dime cost is $1 (a roll is $50, which is generous), slabbing is $18 and shipping is about $20 for 2-ways.....assuming you submit 20 coins, that's $1 per coin, meaning your total cost is $20. If these are rill coins, they're probably white and you can sell them for $20 or more. However, if they come back MS66, you will take a loss as you will probably not get $20 (or more) for a MS66.......

Now, if the coin(s) have a Full bands reverse (full upper and lower torch bands), THEN ii is worthwhile to submit coin and receice MS66FB or MS67FB grades - at least from a financial perspective. A MS67FB is several thousand dollars while a MS66FB is $100-200.......certainly worthwhile financially given a $20 base cost.

Good luck......it may turn out to be more difficlt than its seems.
