1961 Fleer Greats

I recently picked up a near complete, high end set. Mostly raw, but with the Gehrig graded a GAI 8, and a handfull of PSA 8's also. I dont have much experience with these, and had a couple of questions for anyone who may be able to help.

Firstly, there seems, in my set at least, to be a fair amount of color difference on the front of cards. Some are just white as can be, while others are a bit faded, or gray in appearance. Is this something that occurs due to wear, or were some printed on different stock ? Assuming everything else is equal will grading be affected by the color difference ?

Grading won't be affected by the color card stock as some cards are much brighter then others, same applies to Fleer's '59 Ted Williams issue, as well as '48-'52 Bowmans and other issues. If the cornersare sharp and the centering is acceptable (better then the Wagner you scanned) then the grades will be fine. Also keep in note that the bright color backround can't be too spotty as that will lower the grade too!...jay

Thanks guys. That Wagner wasnt my card, just a pic I found for the post. I was kinda thinking that the color was from different card stock, but wanted to make sure before I submitted any.

I have gone over and compared more than half of the set with the PSA 8's, and aside from that color difference they are right there with them, save the few off centers here and there.

    always looking for the following,

    PSA 8 and up Munson
    PSA 9 and up Guidry
    PSA 9 and up Gossage
    PSA 10 1985 Donruss
