Can someone assist in answering questions about the 1992 UD Ted Williams Auto Card?

Here is the Card in Question (Note: I did not win this card, but am interested in a specimen in the future)

Specifically:

1. I've tracked this card for sometime and it appears that many specimens have a yellow tint on the white border, especially around the corners. Is this common for this card?
2. Has anyone tried to get one graded? if so, what were your results?
3. In regards to his autograph, does anyone know if it is definitive that Ted signed these? The reason I ask is that I know that Ted's son had a less than stellar reputation among collectors for impeccably forging his dad's autograph. It is stated that many experts have a hard time distinguishing between Ted's actual signature and his son's forged signature.

Thanks in advance for the responses. By the way, this buyer got a very nice card.

Remember these Chuck Norris Facts

1. When Chuck Norris does a pushup, he isn't lifting himself up, he's pushing the Earth down
2. According to Einstein's theory of relativity, Chuck Norris can actually roundhouse kick you yesterday
3. There are no such things as lesbians, just women who have not yet met Chuck Norris

I didn't submit it to BGS, I bought it already slabbed. It's an old BGS card, and would probably get a 9 if I cracked it and resubmitted (or sent it to PSA), as I don't think it's that badly O/C .

As for the signatures, I'm certain Williams signed them. There are photos from the autograph signing, and back in 1992, Upper Deck actually attended the sessions. What you have to worry about with these cards are the counterfit signed cards with the normal hologram on the back of the cards. (the baseball field hologram instead of the diamond shaped one on the back of mine).

Is there a difference between the signed card and the regular issue? Doesn't seem to be.

What is stopping someone from taking out a blue shapie and doing a little ole fashioned tracing?

The problem is that after signing so many, the first will definitely not look like the last if done in one sitting.

I would rather buy one that is psa/dna authenticated I guess.

I noticed that one sold for 200 and another more in the 400 range?

Nice card if good - but his stuff is so prevalent - I picked upa psa/dna Perez PC Williams for around 150$.

Your Beckett graded Williams #1 is very, very nice - thanx for sharing!

This post explains the variation in the generic card vs. the autographed card. It is in the shape of the hologram.

Um, I know that. I said you have to watch out for fakes of the generic card trying to be passed off as legit. The way you tell is by the hologram on the back.
