The Money Show Announces Free Parking!
Houston, TX – The Money Show of the Southwest, scheduled for January 20, 21, 22, 2006 in Houston, has announced that it will provide free parking for dealers and the public. Collectors and those interested in attending this entertaining family event are encouraged to clip the coupons and come early to be sure to get a spot.
Entrance to the contracted lots will be by special coupon only. Parking coupons will be available on the Money Show web site, www.houstoncoinshow.org, starting December 1, 2005 and in local newspaper ads. A map showing the parking locations will also be available on the web site. Money Show parking coupons will be honored by those lots identified by Money Show signs.
The Greater Houston Coin Club has contracted for over 1,700 parking spaces during the three days of the show on three lots within a block or two of the George R. Brown Convention Center.
“We believe that we are the first major show in the nation to provide free parking for its dealers and the general public. This is another way the Greater Houston Coin Club, Inc. reduces the cost of attending its annual show” said Richard Laster, club president. “The club is committed to making the Money Show of the Southwest the friendliest show on the national numismatic show circuit” he added.
This program is designed to help increase public attendance at the Show to its 10,000 to 12,000 goal. “Free parking” is just another unique feature of this rapidly growing annual show.
Laster added, “The Money Show is our annual fund raising event. It funds all of our educational and civic minded programs. We are grateful for everyone who comes through the door and enjoys our show as well as all the volunteers that work so hard.”
