Not that smart

Well, I lost out on a PSA T-206 Christy Mathewson tonight. I dropped out at about $700. The card went for $743. Well, there is another PSA 4 up for bid that I don't think is nearly as nice and the bidding is at $865. The high bidder is the same guy that won the auction tonight for $743.

Why I wasn't bidding on the one currently up is that the seller has a feedback rating of 4. All 4 of those transactions were as a buyer. Who would buy a $865 card from a guy with no seller's feedback when you already got the same card from a guy with over 4,000 tranactions and 100% feedback. Not to smart.

The first card attached is the one that went for $743, the second is the one that is currently at $865.

I thought the first one was nicer too. (Heck, I even bid $711, which seemed like it had a reasonable chance of winning.) And I can't image bidding $850-plus on virtually any PSA 4 Matty - let alone one from a guy with a feedback rating of 4. Maybe the high bidder's been able to establish solid communication with the guy, but it seems too risky to me.
