Box breaks !!

I am in the process of ordering several unopened boxes from BBC Exchange. There should be several major box breaks in about 3 or 4 days. These boxes will be from 1980 and up in Baseball,As I have come to a dead-end on what else to order Does anyone have any favorites they would like to see busted ???image

Well, I know a want a box of 85 topps and a box of 85 Donruss (both rack), so I guess a Clemens rookie or two would be nice. other than those two boxes I was just lookin at some inexpensive stuff like 81 topps or 84 topps or 86 topps. Anyone have any suggestions?

  • As usual, I would be interested in any Angels.

    Mr. Koffman,
The '85 Topps is a good choice (I need one card from that set if you get it).

Some other 80's cards that might be cool are:

    1984 Donruss

    1987 Leaf

    1988 Donruss
    1988 Fleer
    1988 Topps
    1988 Leaf
    1988 Score

    1989 Bowman
    1989 Score
    1989 Topps

each of the sets have cards that I need, errrr, I mean would be fun to ripimage

Let us know what you get and have fun!

Akbar, I am almost thinking of saying screw it and getting a three box rack case of 85 topps or a rack case of 85 donruss

Yep, if that's the case--go for the 85 Topps. Hope you hit multiple Clemmons cards (and a #49-Butch Davis for me).image

In theory about how many Clemens and Mcgwires should one pull from a 3-box rack case ?

I need one for a raw set. I only recently discovered I needed that one to complete a set, and I actually might already have it, as I have a big box of mixed 80's cards buried in the "closet of cards", but I have been too lazy to lift all the other boxes off it and then spend hours looking through the thousands of cards just for that one.

(zef maybe) busted 1 of those 3 rack pack cases from bbce this year (85 donruss). i believe he got a psa 10 clemens out of the deal also, but otherwise i don't recal his results.

1980 topps are a gang of fun, just don't chew too much gum.

i will vicariously live through you, good luck and happy hunting.

I remember that vividly, The only thing that makes me want the 85 topps more is the Mcgwire. It helps justify the price of the case to have two large rookies in the same set. It looks like 10's in 85 topps go for as much as 85 donruss. I like the black borders better but the lure of two large pulls from the same case is just too attractive to pass up !image
