Yes, it is the lone 1978-D PCGS MS67. In other words, PCGS did not grade any 78-D as MS67 for more than 10 years. The last public record for the coin was traded via teletrade on Sep 22, 1999 for $2050 + juice. Has the coin been removed from its holder; I don't know. I believe the coin is still in the North of the US.
Another question is that do we believe there are 78-D Ike dollars that should qualify PCGS MS67 standards. I would say "yes." Will PCGS is willing to certify any? I doubt it.

Hint, it was certified before 1996.
With 2 down, I'll guess the toughest one
1978-D
The coin has since been removed, as it was a dog.

I know where the TT coin is, and it's north, but not too far north.
It is a different coin. if you look at pop reports through the years, you'll see that the lone 78-D disappears, then shows back up a year or so later.
