Some Canadian Bullion. (56k Warning: pics of "Modern Crap")

Just figured I'd show off my Maple Leaf collection now that I have the gold one ouncer to match my silver and palladium ones. I still don't have my photography area cleaned out and able to take good photos, so these "quickies" will have to do.

In addition, I also decided to photograph all my platinum goods. Just realized that I have a nice collection going of 1/10 ounce platinum coins. I need to go and pick up an Isle of Man coin to go with my Chinese, Canadian, and American 1/10th ounce platinum pieces.

I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.

  • That's very nice. image

I was dreaming of getting a whole set of Russian ballerina coins some day in my life in all precious metals mentioned but those are rarely offered - mintage set of less than 1,000 (depending on which metal) or so if I am not mistaken and you only have a choice of 1993-1995 but this is a very difficult set to assemble due to extreme low mintage numbers and ridicious pricing of them. I shall think about those sets after I win a lottery... image

Thank you for the kind words. image Eventually I will get myself a one ounce platinum maple leaf, but platinum seems to be going up in price at the same rate that my paychecks are going up in value so it's staying just out of reach for me. In addition, I'm trying to save up for some more important things than a coin so I'll just have to wait it out or have a good night at the card table. heh. image I had also forgotten about the Russian Ballerina bullion coins in regards to my 1/10th ounce collection. That one would be a tough one to get ahold of without paying an exorbinant price for. (I was fortuneate enough to get my 1/10th oz Panda for a good price. E-Bay seller had it up for a BIN of $70.00 and I bought it about five minutes after the auction went up. After I paid, the seller said that he had made a mistake and was supposed to have a price of $170.00 for the BIN but since I paid so quickly and the mistake was 100% his fault he'd just take the hit and sell it to me anyway. This was about a year and a half ago. I later found out how much the platinum pandas go for and felt VERY good about it. )

I always liked the U.S. platinum bullion reverse design.... Rather snobby of the mint to put the good designs on the expensive items though....

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who 'collects' bullion image.
