Grading Help

I've been pulling out some odds and ends out to use the camera on and produce a better inventory then I have going. I've never come to a good conclusion on my grade on this 6d, I'm bouncing back and forth. At the moment I would say XF-45 but the hair behind the eye makes me think lower, but then I look at the reverse and it seems solidly XF. I've seen some info on the web saying this series has some weak strikes that look like wear. Regardless, its a nice member to my toned collection.

Am I off base on this one?

This is the US. Keep the Brit grades to yourself.

What's the grade on the slab's label?

It has a very nice eye appeal , so it should be higher than its technical grade.

Its not in a slab, its raw. I kept it in its airtite ring when I took the shots.

Ef-45 to AU-50 IMO, but these are very hard to grade from a photo. Nice looking coin.

I think the ANACS coin is overgraded.

AU53......appears to be the barest rub on the cheek. It was probably softly struck to begin with. How much lustre is remaining?

    ....nice autumnal colours, eh? image

It still has a pretty good sparkle to it, especially with the overall toning and nearly 250 years old.

Av, you've posted more than 3 times this year. That means one of my my predictions for 2006 has come true!! imageimage

Keeping on subject, I like your coin. Looks American XF or British gVF to me.

don't think so. I haven't submitted to ANACS in years and not usually British coins.

Not trying to copy Mac's opinion, but I also thought 53 when I first saw it due to virtually no wear, and much remaining mint luster.
