If I were to sign up for a Gold membership, how long do I have to use my 6 free submissions? I rarely submit any cards for grading and I'm not sure I'd use them up in a year.

Really, the membership fee isnt worth it if you dont plan on submitting that many cards.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I guess I'll have to deal with my local authorized dealer. They only problem is he sends cards in so infrequently.
One other question. How does PSA deal with a requested minimum grade? Say I were to specify a 7 minimum on a card, am I shooting myself in the foot if the card has a chance at an 8? Do they know I asked for a 7 before they look at it? My concern is that they'll say hey, the submitter thought this was a 7. Maybe he sees a flaw we don't.

No worries, I dont think they would go by what a submitter thought it should grade. Overall they are pretty fair and accurate. If it doesnt meet the minimum grade its not slabbed.
