<< <i>The pisser is Bonds did not need the PED's. >>
Sure he did. He just didn't look right with that smaller head of his early years.
Also, my take on Rose is this - he should go in the year after he passes on. That way, the fans get what they deserve (the hits leader in the HOF) but he doesn't get the share in it.

I always thought it was sad when players made it to the hall after their death, but Rose put himself in his situation and that might be the case. I'm sure Selig will make sure Rose dies two or three times before he goes in the Hall.
MCLVTopps, They need to get rid of all the other replies and leave yours standing as far as steroid users getting in the Hall. The voters are taking a stand. NO. Big Mac, Juan Gone, Palmeiro, Bonds, Bags, Clemens, Pettite they all are not getting in. I asked this question earlier....are folks thinking Edgar Martinez was on the juice? His vote totals are even lower than what I considered a worst case scenerio for his totals. Is there something the general public does not know?
During the Olympics of the 80s decade, there were so many athletes on undetectable PEDs that no one is bothering to investigate for the sole purpose of yanking their medals.
When you are caught with PEDs during the Olympics, you are kicked out. If suspicion is years after the fact, I never read or seen the news report on cases like that. I guess if you get away with it, then that's that.
In a decade from now, perhaps we will all look at the steroid era as just another era with its own nuances.

I truly hope that the juicers, liars and roid heads never get in. That being said, without the juice there is no doubt that Bonds is a hall of famer. he probably only hits 600 homers though.
as for edgar martinez; he is a DH who barely played the field in his career, his numbers are great for the number of games he played, but he missed a lot of time and barely played a full season.

Bonds hit 411 homeruns his first 6621 ab's (over 13 years!... or a typical players "prime"), then he hit 351 homeruns in his final 3226 ab's, yes he was a great player but the juice prolonged his career and gave him all his stats, he is the poster boy for roids.

I think Rose needs to be in the HOF one day.

<< <i>Without taking morality into account,
it's very difficult to not see Raffy's HOF merit and worthiness.

What? If Raffy gets in they have to let in McGwire, Bonds, Sosa, and all of the other PED chumps.
