34 Sets Down--1961-2 Fleer Baseball Completed in PSA 8 or Better

With Kenny Low providing the last card(#4-Cap Anson), 1961-2 Fleer is now complete in PSA 8 or better. Thanks to Kenny(not real name) who responded to my post by contributing the Anson in his set. Also playing a big role by directly selling me cards to this set were Jay Wolt(I still love ya Jay),Kris Keppler, Peter Lalos,Phil Burnett and Ken Harrington--an illustrious crew. The set is 128 psa 8s and 26 psa 9s with a set rating of 8.15--4th overall. I will let this set rest for the time being.

Congratulations, Jim. Over 1/3 of the way there. What are your 2006 goals? I remember you mentioning a bump up in your budget - and you are awfully close on some sets; I imagine that the net result is that you will be bidding more aggressively to be over 50 sets complete by year end
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

    Marc,

Thank you. I hope to knock a few more off soon given I have 25 or so sets within 5 cards of completion; over 50 sets is my goal by year end. Much credit goes to Brian who is relentless in his quest to complete my sets in psa 8 or better.

On the budget issue, I did mention on Network 54 that I was upping my 06 card budget by 35% to try to give an added push behind my quest. Hopefully it won't be a bidding situation much of the time and board members will see the sets where I need only a couple cards and look to help me--that has actually been happening quite a bit lately.

I would like to talk to you about something else Marc if you could e-mail me at work or call me.

    Thanks,

    Jim
