Grading cards with creases

Is a PSA 4 grade the highest one can expect if grading a card with a crease? That is the highest grade where a crease is mentioned in the guidelines. Does anyone have a creased card with a higher grade than 4?

I've seen 5's and some 6's with corner dings.....I would think that this would be a crease....

Mike, I have had surface wrinkles come back a 5, but not creases that go through the card.

Exactly what downtown said.


Small surface wrinkles on the front usually come back no higher than a 5. On the back, no higher than a 6 and any crease that goes all the way through is usually no higher than a 4.

That has been my experience at least.

same thing as downtown and envoy. I sent a 78 Payton in and came back a 5. The surface wrinkle was minute but big enough to make a really nice card a 5.
