The Hall of Fame Basketball star of the 60's and 70's, pitched two years with the Chicago White Sox. Wow! I forgot!

Did anyone else forget? LOL!

Long before the hall of fame career with the Knicks DeBusschere played in 62 & 63 with the Sox...played in 24 games, 3-4 record, 102 IP, 3.59 ERA.....also played 2 years for the Cubs AAA affiliate in Indianapolis, going 25-9.

He was also the youngest coach in NBA history at age 24 when the Pistons made him player/coach.......had a large helping hand in the ABA/NBA merger in 76, and was the Knicks GM who drafted Patrick Ewing in 85......quite a nice amount of accomplishments before his early death in 2003.

Had the pleasure of seeing him pitch in person at Old Comiskey. Our little league bused us up for Little League Day, which was always a Sunday Double Header. He had some velocity.
