A couple of firsts for me today!

Nothing spectacular... but today I dug my first key, my first holed coin, and my first monopoly piece! Spent about an hour and a half down at an old school only 40 years old.
I also really like the little knight figurine. I dont know what its made of. I first dug up the larger piece and thought it was cool so I looked around for his legs. He was reunited with his long lost legs which were two inches away for who knows how long...

I like the knight, too. Maybe you can solder him back together. I wouldn't make him a new right leg- I'd just reattach his mostly-complete leg so he could stand up again. Sorta like some of those old statues in museums. Give him a good brushing with a fine brass wire brush and he should clean up nicely.

Wonder what happened to that quarter?

Some promising stuff there. 40 yr old school ground prolly won't yield much silver and such but who knows.

The blue stone was found near the surface near tables where the kids probably eat and play games. I usually dont pick up rocks but this one is indeed very strange. It is extrememly smooth and equally striking on the back. I think it might be a rock out of a kids "bag of magic rocks" or some kind of counter for a D&D type game. Who knows? I also found a small white marble on the surface I didnt picture.


Yeah I wont get any silver here but I didnt have too much time to drive out and this school is less than a mile from my house. I also like the variety of objects I find at elementary schools. I really want to find some old spots soon though... Im dying to be silvered or even wheated!
