Are hand delivered submissions less important than mailed submissions?

Homerun,
While at the Baltimore show, I submitted some coins to be graded on December 10th. It took 10 days to get my order entered into the system. Several people have stated that they mailed submissions after the 10th that got entered much faster than the ones hand delivered at the show. What gives?? Does PCGS think that mailed submissions are more important?

The problem with giving submissions at the show is that we have to carry thm back. So it usually takes a few extra days.

Also, in December we were a little short-handed in our processing epartments. Since Christmas time is not a great time to hire people, we had to wait until this week to start staffing up. Processing may be a little slow this month but should be back to normal in February.

There is no difference to us in hand delivered and mailed in submissions.

    Thanks,

    David
