This really sucks.. www.bidpay.com

I used BidPay to pay sellers whom didn't accept PayPal all the time and never had a problem.

    Wasn't bidpay one of the websites that Ebay did not consider 'Safe' and thus wouldn't allow their sellers to list in their auctions that they accept bidpay?

    Just goes to show you the juggernaut that has developed between Ebay and paypal. I'm sure if Ebay had their way, every auction would go through paypal.
    Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

    I wonder when the FTC will start an investigation into ebay? You can argue that they their dominance in on-line auctions and payment stifles competition.

    Are there any alternate online money order sites? My bank will do them for free, but I don't mind paying a few $ to save the trip and the gas.

    Using PayPal all the time I've become spoiled with receiving items from the US within a week or two. When I mail money orders to those who don't accept PayPal I ended up waiting over a month to receive stuff from the US. Being impatient I started spending $10ish to mail the money orders by Express Post for items won. BidPay was quicker and much easier and it cost me about the same anyway.

    I've asked sellers if they would accept Western Union in the past with no luck, I'll be asking away again now. For items that aren't very rare I won't bid at all if they won't accept PayPal.

    Wow, that sucks big time. I guess I won't be buying anything from DSL anymore. image
