It's why I love NYC during tourist season, now if you can only get rid of the tourist.
First was a Canadian penny from 1986 no biggie from a local store one among 4 other I've found.
Second 1 Phillipine Piso 1995 given as a quarter in a card shop.
Third 250 Lebanon Livres 2003 has an uncirculated look in hand, given as a dollar coin but almost taken back when the cashier realized it was not a Sac. dollar but I insisted on keeping it.
I have no doubt one day I will find real gold in my change.

Are you a cashier? I've taken jobs as a cashier in the past simply to get close to the money supply, and I've also found interesting things.

No but the girls are. I always talk to the ladies behind the counters and bringing up coins is easy. I have a good network of local stores that hold anything good for me.
Went to Rockefeller Center today stopped at Starbucks and got a 1942 Canadian penny in my change.
By the way I'm a college student who lives on grants and part-time messenger jobs.
