<< <i>I know it's an easy call but Penn State is a stone cold mortal lock to win the Orange Bowl. >>
as someone who once gambled, you should know the jinxing dangers of misusing the "L" word. psu should win this, but i'm not sure about them -10
I seem to always pick 'em close to 100% right when I have no money on the games. Whenever I had money on the games, it seemed like I was always close to 100% wrong. Frankly, being a sports fan is a lot more enjoyable to me now without gambling on the games - and I never have to worry about some local bookie knocking on my door for payment, or my credit cards getting maxed out at an internet book.
Its great to get yet another "mortal lock" from you. I wonder how this new mortal lock compares to some of the other mortal
locks you gave us throughout the year..could you please rank them in order of higest mortal lock to lowest mortal lock? Thanks!
1) Eagles win the 2005 super bowl
2) Bucs go 5-11
3) Miami thrashes FSU (yet again)
4) Va Tech pounds the noles
5) PSU over FSU

Sorry you lost the bet and maybe Brian can chime in on this. I guess the website calculated the $4,668 figure? But the figure doesn't make sense to me. Wouldn't the parlay be $26 x 2.9 x 3.3 x 1.65 x 2.25 = $923.74 + $230.93 for a Penn State win at -400 for a total of $1,154.67?

You need to add "1" to each of those figures you're multiplying.
26 x 3.9 x 4.3 x 2.65 x 3.25 x 1.25 - 26 = 4668
Even though it lost, it had a shot except ND. Nice call on Wisconsin - I didn't think they'd win.
26 x 3.9 x 4.3 x 2.65 x 3.25 x 1.25 - 26 = 4668 >>>
Yes...you're right, of course - Thanks. I can now better see how many people get sucked into making these parlay bets. That $4668 figure sure seemed tasty for a $26 bet on only a 5 team parlay. But as we know the books usually always calculate about 10% juice on a bet of this sort which in this case the juice would have equaled $518 because with no 10% juice the bet would have paid $5186.
