Unless I've gone completely wacko, there is no such thing as a 76 SILVER Ike type 2 (they're all type 1s). Only the clad come in both Type 1 & 2.

I doubt he was refering to this but BREEN 5768 describes a 1776-1976
Silver-clad proof. Only one traced. Ex. rare.
    This is a variety 2 Silver-clad proof. Pg. 465

But I wouldn't say you've gone completely wacko. image

    EDIT TO ADD:
Breen refered to what we call clad proofs as Nickel-clad
and what we call Silver as Silver-clad.

yes that is the one . in the article by Ken Potter.
    myurl
But does not say that there were no ty-2 with the S or with out S mint mark minted out there.
yes it will be very hard to find. (( but as steve said )) Unless I've gone completely wacko, there is no such thing as a 76 SILVER Ike type 2 (they're all type 1s).
this is what i am hoping on, collectors dont know of it, and maybe i can pick on up . if steve would have had one ,he may have sold it to me without knowing what he had. LOL

How about a Type 2 clad in a Type 1 clad PCGS holder?
