why is a 1950-s lincoln in pcgs ms-66 red so hard to find?

    1950-S was sloppily made, with indistinct strikes from overused dies. Sharp, detailed coins are difficult to find, and when you add in the percentage of mint state survivors, it becomes very difficult to find a decent looking coin.

    They only trend for $60 so they cannot be too rare. On a related note just got one back today that I sent in raw for my registry set. It came back MS 66 RED image I am lucky though as I had been collecting for one month when I sent in 34 wheats and only one was body bagged. Now I am looking for raw 54 53 52...Happy New Year! Mark
