I'm still in search of coins strictly dated 1878- would love to have in MS but will look for em as well in high AU condition census.
Please no morgans- I'm topped on Morgies at present.

Wow. You realize that includes a '78-S half, yes?

Yep ziggy the 78-s half is an inclusion to this endeavor as well and I'm well aware of the pricing on it.
but it seems that only common date coins are more to the avail, apparently nobody has anything but Morgans in 1878- why is that?

Could it be that 1878 is a tough year to locate?

Could the consensus of pricing be that far off that folks are waiting for a jump in prices?

I can't locate them even on the bay!
