Interesting Toning on a Kennedy Half....just for Russ
This coin is really pretty amazing in hand as the obverse toning while subtle is quite attractive.........the reverse may not be for everyone since the toning is a little thicker with autumn colors then most folks are used to
But it is more liquid in hand and not as crusty as the photo's might lead on........
Really tough to find Kennedy's with vibrant colors as most collectors will attest to and this one has an interesting toning pattern since just about Half of the Reverse is toned while the other have isn't...? I can only assume that it was housed in some type of album where the coin is pushed in but it doesn't have a complete back....similar to tab toning. I am hoping the Russ has encountered something like this in the past and can shed some light on the possible storage method
