I am trying very hard to figure out this picture upload stuff. I thank those that have already given me advise. I have the photo on my computer but I cant figure out how to downsize it to 50KB. What is the pixels supposed to be at for 50KB. Its a HP photosmart M415 cam. and I am using its program to edit the pic which is called HP image zone. I continue to struggle with the uploading process b/c my file is to large. Any thoughts guys/gals ?

Have you tried saving as a jpg? This usually has a compression setting to knock the size down. Also crop you image using the software down to a livable 3 inch X 3 inch image if you can. Sorry I know nothing of the HP software. Hope this helps.

Get a photobucket account. Its free...save it to that, then hyperlink it to the boards. Very easy to do.

Once you have your account with photobucket, right click on the image, properties, and copy the URL. Then when your posting here, click on the picture icon ( [*IMG] your picture's URL [*/IMG]) minus the stars, or use that and post the URL.

    Good luck.

First of all see if you can find Windows explorer and click on it. When opened it should show you your different drives. Probably in the C drive you have a file somewhere where the photos your talking about are located. On the left are files names and if you find your photos location click on it and the information your looking for will appear on the right side of the screen. Regarless of what is shown on the right side of the screen look just above that screen and you will see VIEWS. Click on that and you will get a list of things like thumnails, tiles, icons, lists, details. Click on details and you should get about 4 columns on the right hand side of the screen. The second column is the size of the file or photo. If you use paint to reduce just go back top windows explorer and see when the size becomes less than 50 KB. As to the reduction of photos there are numerous programs out there that will do that and not real expensive like photoshop. There are a few that you can download free but I lost track of them since I use photoworks which cost me about $15 plus S&H.

Actually I just looked and found I also have Microsoft Picture It Digital Image Pro which I bought for about $20 some time ago but never used it yet. Also, a program called Darkroom where you can change peoples heads or put your own head on a dollar bill. There are lots of programs that are really cheap or free to do what you want and a lot more and are really easy to use.
As to posting the photos there used to be a place here somewhere where it was all explained because that subject comes up as much as how to clean coins.
