I use paintshop pro. There are two options you can use, maybe a combination of both. 1 is to choose resize, and slect pixels. Then resize to something that will fit on most screens like 250 pixels wide.
The other option is if you do a save as, there is an options button when .jpg is you save as type that allows you to choose compression level. 25% compression with an image size of 200-400 pixels wide usualy does the job.
Hello Bailey1977, I also use HP Photo & Image for photo processing. Click on the HP Photo & Image Icon which will bring up the program click on my images at the top where you can retrieve your image from a file or CD or floppy wherever your photo of your coin is. After you have your obverse and reverse image click on edit at the top this brings up on the left features to improve the image first is Crop the image then adjust the image quality then resize the image. I usually set the height at the 350 setting which automatically adjust the width. Then save your image to your file. The new image will be at the bottom after doing both images the same size, you can go click Projects at the top click Panorama on the left. Click your obverse image and drag it to the first slot, click the reverse and drag it to the second slot the click create panorama after they are together click adjust alignment and align them after this save the image to your file. You may have to resize this image as well back in editing. You will have to get the image from your file again to resize it though. Hope this helps. Mike
Enjoying time at home with the family now is my full time passion.
I use Corel Photo Paint 11 to do most of my image work. With this software - to crop an image, select the IMAGE/PAPER SIZE menu option. To resize an image, select the IMAGE/RESAMPLE menu option.
