Don't bid on the crappy ones.

Buy all your graded coins on eBay, and never return any.

Higher grade coins can be obtained cheaper if you buy them from people that certify them themselves and write the grade with a black penimage The grades can even be higher (from reality) from those that claim they know nothing about coinsimage

Take the extra time, and learn how to grade coins. Then purchase them raw, send them in to PCGS to be slabbed. I still buy many coins slabbed, however, I buy even more raw. I t will take some time to become experienced as a grader, and it's best to specialize on one or two series. Everyone likes to think that they are qualified as a grader, but this is simply not the case.

I'm sorry but I can't totally agree. I got some rather nice coins from a guy on eBay called compucheap(1942)
He hasn't got any items up now but I for one will be looking for his listings.
Have a few others that I like to watch too.

  • Must agree with LindeDad, some good buys and good guys
    on ebay.
If you don't live in a large city with opportunity to visit
a local shop, this is a great place to buy . . . just have to
    make sure on each coin.
