JJ Teaparty: How is their grading?

Merry Christmas All!

I am thinking about purchasing a few raw coins from JJ Teaparty. Having never bought from them before; is their grading accurate? How about return policy?

Thanks!

JJ Teaparty is a great, ethical company all-around. Their grading is accurate (in my subjective opinion) and they have a great standard return policy.

do a search on this forum for them.

I would estimate their feedback on here to be 99.99 Positive!

They are great to work with. Higher graded AU "58" coins are a shade optomistic but they are on the mark on just about everything else.

You'll never be disappointed with their customer service. (ie: Return Policy )

I have made purchases I was very satisfied with and kept. I have made another that even though PCGS slabbed did not meet my expectations, so I returned with absolutely no hassel. So satisified in every case.

    J. J. Teaparty is Number 1 in my book. I have purchased coins from them (mostly raw, but also many slabs) for the better part of twenty years, and they have consistently made me happy with every transaction. I find their grading to be quite accurate, and they will discuss a coin's grading with you if you have any questions or concerns. Regarding their return policy, I find that I have hardly ever had to do that, but I do recall just once that might best sum it up. A few years ago, I purchased a nice 1844-O Liberty Seated half dime from them, and was completely happy with the coin. A few months later, Liz contacted me about another, higher grade example that they had, which she sent me on approval. I wanted the coin, but reminded her that I had recently purchased a slightly lower grade example from them. She refunded my entire purchase price, including shipping (!), toward the purchase of the higher grade example. In customer service, you simply cannot find a better, more accommodating dealer.

In the pre-TPGS days, JJTeaparty was one of the very few coin companys that I would trust to buy mail order coins from.

JJ Teaparty hands down is one of the best national firms to do business with. I have had the utmost pleasure in dealing with Liz on purchases as well as offering her items for sale, cosignments, etc. There offers are usually very fair, and they never turn down chances to re-purchase coins originally purchased from them. I have never had to return an item, although in fairness I have always bought sight seen, so I knew what I was getting. But as others have mentioned, they have had no problems in returning items, and I am sure thats 100% accurate. Grading is subjective and I grade tight puposely when purchasing, so sometimes my grading may not be necessarily in aggreement with market acceptance, but as long as you are dealing with a company such as JJteaparty with good return policy, I dont think there is too much risk
