    Or possibly Egyptian - Ottoman Empire in any case, and dated 1255, which equates to 1839-40.

    0.0321 ASW
    Maybe $2.00 value.

    KM#735 but I don't have that Krause book so can't confirm.
  • The diameter would determine if its a 1 kurush (15 millimeters) or 2 kurush (18 millimeters) coin, KM-671 or 672.
    The Islamic date is 1255 (1839-40 AD) which designates the first year of the current ruler, Abdul Mejid. The accession date, the year of the ruler's reign that the coin was minted, is 18 which would be equivalent to 1272 (1855-56 AD).

    Kind of hard to see, but look under the toughra. It is actually underlined by the script to it's left.
