Where I am down to one or two cards

I must have close to 30 sets where I am down to 5 cards or less to complete the set in psa 8 or better. Listed below are the sets where I am down to 1 or 2 cards to complete in 8 or better (or 9 or better if noted). A special prize to anyone who helps me complete a set(other than notifying me its on ebay).

Merry Christmas to all.

Jim

    Jim,

If and when you replace the PSA 8 1963 Fleer Buoniconti, could you please let me know at gregm13@yahoo.com if you want to sell it. I've been looking for a nicely centered one for a while.

    Regards,

Whoops--last group should read psa 8 or better.

    Greg-My Buonoconti is 8 o/c.

1960 Topps Guy--Thanks--Brian notified me of it about an hour ago.
  • I own the 1961 Fleer Anson in PSA 8. It's in my registry set - currently ranked #5. Coincidentally (or not), I received an email from someone asking if I would sell the card. I gave him a "this is my price if you want to reach for a pie in the sky since I need it for my set" price of $120. In a true auction, I think it would go in the $50-$60 range. Just wnated to mention that in case someone is looking to flip it from me to you.
  • Jim,

I can hook you up on a 1970 Rold Gold Speaker PSA 9. Feel free to PM or e-mail me at your leisure.

Thanks to Steve Barr(Pieces of History) for selling me the Speaker at a very reasonable price to allow me to finish the 1970 Rold Gold set in psa 9 or better.

One would think that this would not be a difficult card but I think I've been searching for one for at least a year. In fact, a former friend of mine needed just the Speaker and bought the whole set in PSA 9 just to get the Speaker--he then sold off the remainder.

    Nice Christmas present--thanks Steve.

I started building the Rold Gold set when they first added it to the registry years ago. I think there was only 1 set registered at the time. I figured,"Hey, this will be easy to do, 15 cards in 9+, I might even compete for the top spot." I never did get a 9 Speaker, though, amazing it's still a tough card.

Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

    Jim,

As far as I'm concerned I'm a current friend ....we just don't speak much these days as neither have time to be terribly active on forums. But if I saw you I'd buy you a drink and talk shop ....and that'll always be true.

I'm glad to hear the wife and children are doing great. That's way more important than cards. Happy holidays and good health Jim.

    ...............................................................

    Marc,

I hope you and yours are doing well too.

    Tom,

Of course I wish you and your family the best over the holidays but.......I won't forget what you and Anthony did to me on LTS.

You could have 1000 sets in psa 8 for all I care but your absolute pettiness with respect to a few highly appreciated people you refer to in the graded collecting world nullifies ALL of your collection in my eyes. If you think I'm the only one who feels this way you are way, way off base.

Get over it and try to realize why things happen the way they do...........you reap what you sow buddy boy ........

Not responding to you--read the posts since I've been back on--roughly 100 people welcoming and positive--you ripping into me at every opportunity--will let people form their own judgments--you need to grow up or if that is impossible for you just be quiet.

Well I'm not going back there with you as there's no need to start throwing around anyone's dirty laundry. It's all just banter anyway.

You're a fine collector and there's room enough for all of us in this hobby despite our differences in forum etiquette. Again, best to you and yours.

    srs,

For once? I have ignored all the barbs he has made to me since I've been here. How about telling him to go back to lts if he wants to attack someone?

Tom--as I said I wish you and your family the best--same with your cohort--you're not a bad guy but as I said before.....
