  • The following is a good site to join, the members are very helpful.

    Canadian Coin Reference Site
    Tony Harmer
    Web: www.tonyharmer.org
  • This was given to me by a forum member, if you look around the site they have more info scattered around. LINK
  • CCRS will be the first choice.
This site is not bad too.

Thanks, so I guess 3.4g would be too light to be a Canadian 5 cent, what would 3.4g be, other country?

There are too many countries to list.

Do you think that you have a Canadian nickel minted on a foreign planchet?

Or do you not know what you have?

Either way post a picture if you can.

I saw a U.S. nickel that is 3.4g so I was trying to figure out what country it could be from. I believe that the Canadian Mint produce nickel for the U.S. for a couple of year so I thought that it might be Canadian but I guess not.

  • LALASD4 no one but the U.S. produces U.S. coins.

No other countries have ever made American money, but America has made coins for dozens of other countries.

You may have a nickel minted on a foreign planchet.

Here are some error coins from Fred Weinberg.
