another Heritage story

This was a little different to say the least. I bid $190, plus fees, for a 1921 D Morgan auction closing yesterday. Last time I looked it was selling for $210, but ended up not bring the reserve. Last night I went on Heritage’s site and there it was with a buy now option. Clicked on it and low in behold I could Buy It Now for $222, including fees. I jumped and about a minute later got this email which in part reads;
Your offer on this lot has been accepted only subject to prior offers (it is possible, though unlikely, that a prior offer was received in the last few minutes as our site updates and removes sold items from the After Auction every 10 minutes).
This morning went looking for my invoice, but no word from Heritage. Went to my bid list and there was the coin. Buy It Now $262.
Called to ask what happened and the lady said she would find out and call me back. I ask when I should call back if she doesn't call. She said around 3pm.

to add- I'm for sure not the only cheap ba$tard on here. It's a matter of principle, no it's really the forty bucks.
