MS70 Whoops! I was thinking about another grading service.

To many of the AU53 where cleaned in my mind. A lot of AU and EF coins lost out of any grade at PCGS for cleaning. It used to be common practice to clean your album coins. I am talking prior to 1980.
For true collector coins, MS64, with MS63 a close second.
A poll like this would be more meaningful if it pertained to only one series at a time. For example, Classic Commemoratives I would guess MS64, possibly MS65 by shear numbers in the more common issues. For Capped Bust Half Dollars, it would be AU58. That sounds like a high grade, but I think it is because so many submissions are hopefully MS, but miss MS.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
I'm astonished myself--I went MS64 partly due to all the crackouts trying a 64 for a 65. But except for Russ/Marty, you know darn well those moderns are never cracked out--- I had no idea there were so many moderns certified--That's a bigger racket/profit than minting your own coins!

Not sure if the modern circ coins compare, if they do then maybe the most common is MS65.

I would guess 64 for regular issue coins

I don't think PR69 counts as the poll is only for MS. But that would definately clinch it if it were.
But don't give it away in the post.....
Nice to see PCGS is keeping tabs. This is a good stats page for future reference.
I was right
At first I was going to say 63 , then I thought of all the moderns in search of the holy grail and went with (the winner).
Now how many of you want to be that all those (winner)s combined aren't worth the cost of the grading fees???
