How big of a baby is Soriano

Has anyone ever heard of someone crying so hard about not wanting to be moved to a new position. Now he says that he doesn't like the NL because he knows the AL pitchers better. When his contract is up at the end of the year, he is going to go back to the AL. I bet the Washtingon Eagles are real happy with their acquisition of Terrell Soriano.

  • The Washington Nationals will be even happier once they see what Soriano's numbers were at home vs. the road last year. I'm sure they will think they made a great decision!!

Im not saying he won't produce, but it seems that he is all ready becoming quite a nuisance off the field.

He will be lucky to hit 8 homers at cavernous RFK. Maybe they will move the fences in.

I think it's just a matter of time before Mr. Robinson gets ahold of this kid and teaches him some manners.

  • Anyone see the episode of Cheap Seats when the bros go to St. Louis to save Busch stadium by merging it with Camden Yards?

I think Soriano would be better suited to that setup by utilizing his speed.

  • I agree 100% with you Axtell, he'll shut his mouth once spring training starts and Frank basically says, "you'll play where I say you'll play."

Man, there are plenty of players in the league that do more stupid things than this and people don't call them out. At least Alf can
and HAS backed it up. Its very simple, at second base, Alf is the best hitting players at that position in the league! If he moves
to the outfield, now he has to compete with all the juicers and hit 50 homers.

Check the stats, this guy has put up power numbers his whole career and his first two years he was doing it from the lead off
spot! There are plenty of other jerks i the league who are hitting .200.

80s guy....how could you possibly say that the yankees dont deserve their last few championships because they bought it ??? Is the cold up there getting to your brain ? The championship run the Yankees had was primarily due to a vast amount of home grown talent, with of course, several key additions from free agency, trades, etc. Jeter, Rivera, Mendoza, Pettitte, Posada, Williams were the heart and soul of the team, along with O'neill, who can hardly be called a bought player since he came over to Ny for Roberto Kelly.

There arguably has not been a championship team over the past 25 yrs that has won with such a core group of home grown players. Your misinformation, or ignorance is very typical of the average NY basher.

  • NY Basher? You buy your team and then come on here and tell me I'm a NY basher?
You are very misinformed my friend, your Yankees just went out and overpaid for a run-down, over the hill, I can't throw a ball 15 feet center fielder and your arguement is your team is home-grown?
I won't give the Yankees one shred of credibility as far as building a team from within, they simply DID NOT do that--throw all the names you want at me, but they wouldn't be in the same boat they are now without the free agents they signed.
It is absolutely nonsense that I would have to argue with someone over a team that has spent nearly 2 TIMES what everyone else has spent over the past 10 years, but I guess the propaganda spread through-out NY about the team keeps you happy even knowing your team is everything that is bad about baseball.
And I guess if the Mets finally win another Championship this year with the team they "built" you'll argue that they're "home-grown" as well...

Your claim was regarding the yankees most recent championship run, which last i checked ended over 5 yrs ago. The "boat' they are in now is clearly from overspending on useless, overpaid names. That was exactly what they did not do during their run. I never once said the team they have now is home grown. The team they have overspent on now is a far cry from the championship teams they had at the end of last century. Apparently you cant tell the difference. The "BOAT" they are in now is one where they havnt won a damn thing in over 5 yrs, and are stuck with a bunch of overrated, overpaid names who couldnt define the word team. If nothing else, please see the difference, because in no way was I saying that this current team is home grown. They have gone the exact opposite route the past several years(trading away young prospects, etc). I completely agree with you on this team now, but that just is not the facts for how the produced their great teams of 6-10 yrs ago.
