Here are the official odds of the Giants, Bears, or Bucs winning the Super Bowl

The official odds are 0

Inexperienced starting quarterbacks don't win Super Bowls. It's extremely rare that an inexperienced starting quarterback even makes it to the Super Bowl.

So to all you Giants, Bears, and Bucs fans out there...don't worry about attending any upcoming Super Bowl victory parade in your hometown because there ain't gonna be any parade.

    2003 - Delhomme 1st year starter (3rd year)
    2001 - Brady 1st year starter (2nd year)
    1999 - Warner 1st year starter (2nd year)

So every other year for the past 6 years there has been a first year starter with 3 or less years experience. It didn't happen last year so for the trends guys its likely to happen this year. That being said all 3 teams you mentioned fit that bill and one will make it.

LOL It looks like Steve officially looks like an idiot!! Actually the bucs have the most playoff experience out of all the teams in the NFC
right now. They know what it takes to get to the big show and also how to win it. If Simms doesn't turn the ball over, we can go
    all the way!

Zef - you're right. I hadn't had my 2nd cup of coffee when I posted that - LOL

I just quickly went through the "rolodex" in my little brain and Warner had a lot of experience in that Arena League and of course Brady has won three so I like forgot for a second he was so young when winning his first...so the info wasn't processed correctly due to lack of caffeine - LOL. Again...You're right but still...it is rare when getting to or winning a Super Bowl happens for a young quarterback.

But I'll still stand by my prediction that the Giants, Bears, and Bucs will not make it to the Super Bowl this season. Hey...I gotta be right on at least 2 outta 3 here - LOL

Personally I don't think anyone is going to go into Seattle and win ... Alexander is a beast, and Hasselbeck is looking good. Throw in an underrated defense and home field advantage and you get a very tough team to beat.

Believe it or not, I can see Tampa Bay playing them if the playoff matches are correct. If these teams make it, they can beat Atlanta, Chicago and NY - besides the "any given Sunday" theory.

I really don't think any NFC team can entirely be ruled out, except for maybe Atlanta and Dallas. Seattle looks to be the class of the league, but that appearance might be a little deceiving due to the putridity of their division. Plus, I have a feeling that they're not going to exorcise their past playoff demons.

Nobody in the NFC is good enough to win three straight games. So it's very likely either the Seahawks or the other team getting the bye will make the Super Bowl.

    Agreed with Yawie ...

Vick can be stopped by a good linebacking crew and dallas cannot run the ball.

we played Seattle last year, with an injured team, and only gave up 10 points. We can handle Shaun. Joe J worries me more

Jesus joe you need to STOP whining about injuries.

EVERY team plays with injuries, not just the Bucs.

And Shaun is a different player this year, namely the MVP.
  • The Giants did it with Jeff Hostetler, a back up QB, in 1990. He was a rookie for sure at the time.

I agree, too bad we can't play bad teams like Philly every week.

I think the Bucs, Bears, and Giants chances of winning the super bowl this year are infinitely higher than the Eagles.
