Email confirmation.....

Until recently, I have only sent cards in to PSA. But about 2 weeks ago I sent a baseball autographed by the Yankees to be authenticated. But I never recieved an email confirming they recieved the ball like I have in the past with my cards. Does anyone know if they have different SOPs for memorabilia?

maybe they just haven't had the time since this is the Christmas season and I'm sure the office will be closed for awhile.
