By popular demand (ok, mine) - showing my 71 Munson

What do you guys think - low, medium, or high end 8. I think it's right in the middle, but have only seen 2 others.

I would give it an 8.37, the bottom right corner looks like it has an issue, and i can't really tell about the top right.
Left/right centering issue. If it was centered i would have made it an 8.65 , but again what do i know?
  • Balco -
That's the ugliest looking card I've ever seen.
You should get rid of it before it infects all your
other cards. An eyesore like that card is the
    demise of any collection............

.......wanna sell/trade it to me? image

Beauty...I have a nice 7, and this card has been my favorite for as long as I can remember.

You can almost taste the dust...

  • Such a beautiful card. Just looking at it you can see how very little room for error those horizontal shots have, couple that with the black borders and awesome in action shot... simply wow.

    Great card Steve.
  • Thanks guys.....reading the feedback really made my dayas I was having some buyers remorse, but no more.

I paid a hefty price - $620, but I know there are very few out there and even fewer available to buy.....SMR of $350 is way off.

    There are 45 or so 8s, and 2 9's.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

Here is the famous 1st 71 PSA 9 Munson. I believe it is in Eric Oleander's collection. The second sold for 5,850 on August 15 this year.
BTW Balco that is super nice and I would love to own one some day.

one of my favorite cards , nice to finally see one of the 9's but your 8 is sweet. thanx for the scans guys!

  • All I have to say is WOW! Very solid 8. Doesn't have a lot of that edge chipping that I see on those 71's. If you spent a minute having buyer's remorse over spending $620 on that beauty, it was a minute too many. You did very well for yourself.

Does anyone know who that is sliding into home plate? I have wondered that for years. It looks like someone from the A's.
