In the AFC, it's a real easy call...the Colts will be in the Super Bowl.
<< <i>I can't fathom any team from the NFC south making it to the superbowl. As I said before, Carolina is not that good and well we have seen how bad the Bucs are. Bears beat all four of the teams from the South and last night beat Atlanta with 5 starters out with injuries. >>
i agree. Even though i hate the bears that defense looks tough to beat.
Also colts got exposed yesterday. I think their are some teams that could give them trouble, one being Denver, with their fast linebackers and good running game.
Exposed? WTF game were you watching? Perhaps you didn't watch it. I did watch it. Ths Colts played with no intensity whatsoever through most of that game - and of course they had no motivation. Evidently an undefeated season didn't mean that much to the Colt's players. And that's perfectly understandable...it's a long season and if you win home field advantage it's probably tough to get motivated until playoff time. But they weren't "exposed" whatsoever. The Colts will be in the Super Bowl.

I think this is nothing but good for the Colts. Peyton was going to have a bad game sometime, and this was it. I think the Colts have the best chance to make the Superbowl, but I think the real Superbowl will be a Colts - Pats second round or AFC championship game. If Peyton gets over the post-season jitters and Brady has his usual clutch performance, this will be a hell of a game!!

How bad the Bucs are? Uhm they are 9-5 after all...but I guess records don't mean much to you. Chicago has gotten to play the Pack, the Vikes, and the Lions which are among the worst teams in football (the nfc north is the worst division in football this year).
I take it you're a bears fan? You honestly think the Bears would be able to hang with Seattle? Exactly how many high powered offenses like Seattle's have they shut down? Hell, Pittsburgh had their way with them all day..and Seattle will do the same.
I can see that line at -2 ...
<< <i>Good grief Axtell, please find a post where I ever said the Bears were good. You just like to start arguements. In fact if you do a search I said they would be a 500 team. Tell which team from the South you think has a chance to be in the superbowl. Seattle to this point seems to be head and shoulders above any team in the NFC. Can you ever respond to thread without acting like a dickhead? >>
I think you're the high and mighty wanna be here...you stated (and I'll quote it, as you obviously have short term memory loss):
<< <i> can't fathom any team from the NFC south making it to the superbowl. As I said before, Carolina is not that good and well we have seen how bad the Bucs are. Bears beat all four of the teams from the South and last night beat Atlanta with 5 starters out with injuries. >>
implying the Bears were the superior team in the NFC, and the nfc south is full of hacks.
And I can't help it if you think that someone disagreeing with you makes them out to be (as you so eloquently put it) a 'dickhead'.
Now you say Seattle is the best team in the NFC?
Good lord get me outta here...
<< <i>Funny how early in the season the Bucs were declared Detroit bound and NFC North champs, now it turns out da Bears are basically owners of two divisions. >>
Well the Bucs did beat the Vikes, the Lions, and the Pack...so by your same reasoning you could say the Bucs own the North, too.
I can't fathom any team from the NFC south making it to the superbowl. As I said before, Carolina is not that good and well we have seen how bad the Bucs are. Bears beat all four of the teams from the South and last night beat Atlanta with 5 starters out with injuries.
Let me intrepet what I said, I have repeatedly said in here that I don't think the Bears are a quality team, so by stating some facts, i.e. that they beat all of the teams in the South, it also at least in my mind shows that they can't be quality teams either, i.e. superbowl contenders. For anyone who thinks I was ballyhooing the Bears, you misunderstood. Good grief some of you have nothing better to do in life but try to find something to start a fight over.
<< <i>. Good grief some of you have nothing better to do in life but try to find something to start a fight over. >>
Sounds like you don't.
I was engaging in a bit of smack talking defending my bucs which you claimed were 'so bad'...called into play their 9-5 record and they have had some great games this year....whereas you are basing their season on the patriots game (and joestalin's delusional and annoying rants).
8. Dallas Cowboys (8-6) – Next: at Carolina (10-4).
9. Atlanta Falcons (8-6) – Next: at Tampa Bay (9-5).
If the Cowboys are ahead of the Falcons, then they're ahead of the Vikes. The Vikes lost to the Falcons so I believe the Purple are the #9 seed.

yep, and he used to run rampant with his bull$hit. Now I am here to smack the putz around, and NO he can not EVER respond to a thread without acting like a dickhead because HE IS A DICKHEAD

I think the line would be closer to Colts -6.5

What, it gets cold down in mommy's basement?
Isn't it pathetic that you hide out down there furiously typing away, trying to be clever, when all you end up looking like is a clown?
Mommy and daddy must be worried you haven't come up for dinner yet...and they must be surely wondering when you'll begin to show an interest in girls.
Not that anyone is interested but,.............In my local drinking establishment's yearly pre-seaon NFL prediction pool, which I have no chance of winning via some of my selections, Rams and Raiders to make playoffs for instance, in August I did have the final score of the SuperBowl as Carolina 27 Indy 23. If somehow that is EXACTLY the superbowl result I could tie for the victory due to various weighting of results.
If I was picking today, I would venture Indy 34 Seahawks 24 as a final.

Your joking right? Colts O-Line got exposed. Have fast linebackers blitz peyton and give him pressure all day, IM sure the colts didn't want to go 19-0, slap your self for that comment.
<< <i>While I absolutely hate them!!!!! Tom Brady has NEVER lost a playoff game and until such time as someone takes them out be very careful. >>
I think they are getting red hot at just the right time....wrapped up the division, and while they won't have a first round bye, they'll have home playoff game(s) to make life miserable for some teams.
I think Indy (namely Manning the choker) is quaking in their boots at the thought of having to play NE in the playoffs.
