I think its great! The Dodgers can pay him for sitting out 100+ games rather than the Cubs or BoSox.

Yup! I'll bet he's glad he spurned the Sox's offer after the 2003 season of 4 years at $14 mil per. His agent gave him great advice.
  • what the hell are the dodgers doing.

    We have 3 shortstops now?

    Furcal, Cesar,Nomar

And cesar is getting left out of the infield from what i heard.

    3b-Muller
    ss-Furcal
    2b-Kent
    1b- Nomar

    is what espn is reporting

Where is ALLSTAR SS cesar going to play? IONO what we are doing...
  • as i re think of it, i think the dodgers might be trying to get lucky with nomar. They didn't sign him longterm and didnt give him a big payday. He needs to prove himself and this is his year, so he can get that last big contract. Anyways lets be honest and say division sucks so maybe dodgers can go back to playoffs =)

    That signing baffles me ...

As far as Izturis, I thought the same thing until someone reminded me that he is on the DL until late June at the earliest ...

If you look at Nomar's wife, you would wonder why he keeps playing. This guy has a no lose situation. He has a breakthrough year, he can continue his HOF pursuit and large contracts. If he can't be a durable player, he can spend the rest of the time with Mia.....

This guy can't lose. He's relaxed. Perhaps that will help him feel loose and be playing well again.

How quality can the time be with Mia. With that groin damage, he may just be relegated to hanging out and talking to his wife. ugh.

Nomar says he's not injury prone! Okay - you can stop laughing now.

  • I am so happy that Nomar didn't sign with the Yankees. Over the last 4 years he rivals Griffey in the injury prone category. In my opinion, Nomah's love of California saved Steinbrenner a lot of money and Yankee fans some aggravation.

Nomar would have fit right into a yankee uni: old, 30+, prone to injuries, and grossly overpaid.

Hey, that's like 3/4 of the yankee roster!

  • That's a very ugly looking avatar you have. What is it anyway? It looks like an eagle inside of a Dallas Cowboy star.
