  • i think it's a bad idea.

i don't think there would be too many people just sitting around bidding on christmas. and for the people who use a sniper service - if the service's servers went down, i wouldn't think there would be too many people working to put it back online.

Ending them on Sunday would probably be a mistake. While I suspect some people might have some Christmas loot to blow on the 'Bay and others - like me - will seek refuge in cyberspace after a marathon day of family and travel, I'm guessing that eBay traffic will be down on Christmas. That said, I've got a few cards I'm about ready to list. Figure I'll either launch them tonight as 10-day auctions or just list them later this week at 7 days.

  • WRONG....just the opposite!! Christmas night and New Years Eve are 2 of the biggest nights of the year!!

Everyone's done partying....sitting around surfing...don't believe me (tell me that Christmas Night when you're surfing too...lol)

In 7+ years on Ebay...5 of my biggest nights have been on these days!!

Generally thinking, yes this wouldn't be a good idea. I took a peek at some ebay card auctions last year on Christmas night and it did seem though that the prices realized were normal.

Idferg--It might be good for the buyer but not so good for the seller. I am already watching one of you auctions so I guess we will find outimage
