I am not usually a stamp collector but in March 2005 I saw a PBS documentary on the
Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
They showed the envelope of a letter she sent to New York accepting an offer to show her paintings.
I was curious about the stamps and found a pair on Ebay.
The Scott number is C68.
Apparently 2 of these stamps got a letter from Mexico to the USA in the 1940's.

The mountain in the background is Popocatepetl, a 17,800' high volcano near Mexico City.
I hiked to the top in 1980.
