ON ITS WAY TO NEWPORT BEACH, CA 92658
I have been really busy with cards. I last month I sent off 1,050 cards to PSA (still have 500 waiting to be graded). Today, I just finished loading the new additions to my 1979, 1980 (first batch), 1981, and 1983 sets. I also just finished up sorting through my 1978’s and still need to go through a pile of 1980’s and 1981’s for an upcoming submission. I’ve needed to move plastic as well and over the last couple of weeks and ran about 160 auctions. No wonder I’m not getting to bed until one in the morning!
To answer your question John, I do plan on building a 1974, 1977, and 1982 set eventually. That would cover all the years that I had as a kid. I haven’t done much in these years primarily because of the other people building these sets. Mike Castaldi and Phil Apostle had/have been building the 1974 and 1977 sets, respectively, and I haven’t wanted to be in any competition with them. I’ve also enjoyed watching the work that Steve has done with his 1982 set. Combine this with the fact that I’ve had plenty to keep me busy with the other sets, and I haven’t felt a big need to take on any more projects. I’ll probably start looking at these sets sometime next year as I finish sorting raw product and move my duplicates.
