Valuev - heavyweight champ?

I never heard of him before today and now he's WBA heavyweight champ. Is he any good?

    I follow boxing and never heard of the guy.
    Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

    He's 7 feet tall and has a brow that makes Cro-Magnon Man envious.

    They captured a Sasquatch, shaved his head and put him in the ring.

    To quote Howard Cosell during the Holmes-Cobb fight, "it looks like a man and boy in there."

    Looking on the web, it says Valuev was a ranked heavyweight in two of the four belt rankings coming into the fight:

    WBC-10th ranked contender
    WBO-2nd ranked contender (now champion)
    IBF-not in top 15
    WBO-not in top 15
    I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.
